Welcome to Newtown Farms - on the prairie in Wilmington, Illinois which, if you don't happen to know, is located about 50 miles south of Chicago, just off of I-55 just in case you ever want to come for a visit and you will always be welcome.

We're relatively new to the Boer Goat industry. We 'got in' in the fall of 2004 and since then we've asked a lot of questions and gotten a lot of answers; done some things the right way and some others not so well. We're still working on our facilities, but so far so good.

One thing we did right was find out enough to know that we wanted good foundation stock and that is why we bought our herd sire 'Bob' (see picture above). Bob is by Concho (Ennobled) and out of an outstanding dam. Bob produces kids like I like to see them...long, tall and muscular and you can see why. 'Bob' also has the temperment that I like and he passes that along to his kids.

We have since added more herd sires: Newtown Farms Piper Cub (Zacharias Ennobled x Downen N85) which we raised here. He's a January 4, 2007 model and we have 12 outstanding does bred to him and his kids are already arriving and they are outstanding.

Our latest acquisition - in partnership with Thomas Boers (Dave Thomas) - is MKT Rednec's Dura-Maxx who is by DSM Redneck Classic Ennobled.

We've also added a potentially great buck...TRIR Southwinds V18. He's by Eggsalted Wind Dancer Ennobled and out of TRIR Fancy Stuff Ennobled. He'll be on the show circuit this year and we also have good does bred to him

We believe we have some of the top blood lines in the country and we're looking forward to our 2008 kid crop.
