Welcome to Newtown Farms - on the prairie in Wilmington, Illinois which, if you don't happen to know, is located about 50 miles south of Chicago, just off of I-55 just in case you ever want to come for a visit and you will always be welcome.

Well, we just made it through our fifth anniversary in the always-changing boer goat industry and it's time for a major 'web site' revamp and as of today (May 25, 2009) I'm working on it. In this business, we're always working on something.
The above picture is Newtown Farms He's The One (MKT Rednec's Dura-Maxx x Eggs T330) at five days old. I believe we're getting somewhere with him. At seven weeks old He's the One was third in a very large class on May 9th at Fairfield.
One of the best things we did is partner with Dave Thomas of Thomas Farms in Bloomington and purchase MKT Rednec's Dura-Maxx last year. Max sired 22 kids (for us) this past spring and we simply can't keep them. We started with 22, planned to keep five or six to show and breed, and we are left with none because our customers simply 'had to have them'. I guess that's the sign of a great buck.
We have 15 excellent does that were bred to Max for January - March kidding. At this writing we have three left to kid and this year and I'm determined to keep a few of them.
We have several buck kids for sale by Dura-Maxx that look like outstanding show and herd sire prospects.
We've also added a potentially great buck...TRIR Southwinds V18. He's by Eggsalted Wind Dancer Ennobled and out of TRIR Fancy Stuff Ennobled. He'll be on the show circuit next year and we also have good does bred to him
We believe we have some of the top blood lines in the country and most of our 2009 kid crop is on the ground and you're welcome to come by and see them.
